Cushendall. At the foot of the “table mountain” Lurigethan Mountain, the coastal town of Cushendall nestles against the banks of the North Canal. The most striking building of the village is the former prison tower Curfew Tower, which was built in 1817.

- Belfast City. So, the Antrim Coast Road drive officially kicks off in Belfast City. Now, as you can probably imagine, there are tonnes of things to do in Belfast.
- Carrickfergus Castle. Our first stop on the Antrim Coast road takes us to the mighty Carrickfergus Castle. You’ll find this impressive structure in the town of Carrickfergus on the shores of Belfast Lough.
- Whitehead Coastal Pass to Blackhead Lighthouse. Stop number two is the first of many strolls on the Northern Ireland Coastal route, and it’s just 13 minutes from Carrickfergus Castle.
- The Gobbins. You’ll find one of the most unique Causeway Coastal Route attractions, the Gobbins Cliff Path, a 5-minute spin from our last stop, where it has been making visitors ‘Ohh‘ and ‘Ahh‘ for over 100 years.
Overlooked by the Lurigethan table mountain, Cushendall sits at the meeting point of 3 of the glens: the Glenballyemon, Glenaan and Glencorp valleys. If you’re passing by Cushendall, don’t miss your chance to take a relaxing walk on its sandy beach.
