Sep 15, 2022 · SELINSGROVE, PA (September 15, 2022) – The Susquehanna University Athletics Department on Thursday afternoon announced the inductees to the Class of 2022 Athletics Hall of Fame. Five members representing a variety of sports and eras were chosen for induction to the department's 54 th class.
Gaines was a rare four-time All-MAC selection, the 2001 MAC Rookie of the Year, and remains among the top five in nearly all of the major offensive school records for career and season marks. Five new faces were added to the Athletics Hall of Fame wall in James W. Garrett Sports Complex.

Jim Garrett was the athletic director at Susquehanna from 1960-65, the head football coach from 1960-65, the head baseball coach from 1962-65 and the head track & field coach in 1961. Garrett had by far the best winning percentage of any coach in program history at .780 (39-11-1).
