Valerie Day. Valerie Day (born November 20, 1959) is an American pop and jazz singer. Born in Portland, Oregon, she is a fourth-generation Oregonian, and grew up in a musical family. [1] She was the lead singer and a founding member of the 1980s dance band Nu Shooz, with her husband John Smith.
Shannon retired from films after she appeared in HOTEL VARIETY in 1933. On February 24, 1977, Shannon died in the city of her birth at the age of 80. She had been in a total of 29 motion pictures.
