Apr 27, 2022 · 2022-2023 School Year Calendar now approved HWDSB calendars are now final for the 2022-2023 school year after Ministry of Education approval. Every year, Ontario school boards must submit school year calendars to the Ministry with 194 school days (including seven Professional Activity Days) between September 1 and June 30, with up to 10 secondary school exam days.
These changes are designed to help ensure children in Ontario’s schools are learning the skills they need to be ready for the jobs of the future. That’s why our government made historic investments to education ahead of the 2022-23 school year, including the first and largest publicly funded tutoring support program of its kind in Canada.
