Feldafing (German: [ˈfɛldafɪŋ]) is a municipality in Starnberg district, Bavaria, Germany, and is located on the west shore of Lake Starnberg, southwest of Munich.
Feldafing was one of the first displaced persons camps to house primarily Jewish refugees. In August 1945, Eisenhower ordered that Feldafing be used as a model for the establishment of other camps for Jewish displaced persons in the US occupation zones of Germany and Austria.
Feldafing displaced persons camp in Bavaria was the first DP camp exclusively for use by liberated Jewish concentration camp prisoners. It was later used by Jewish refugees from the Russian-controlled Jewish areas.
Feldafing camp, located on the outskirts of a village in Bavaria, was the first all-Jewish DP camp in the US zone of Germany. It housed up to about 4000 DPs who lived in barracks of former elite Hitlerjugend training institute as well as in private housing requisitioned from the German inhabitants of the town.

Fela Warschau describes the Feldafing displaced persons camp. Fela was liberated at Bergen-Belsen by the British army in 1945. She went to a displaced persons (DP) camp administered by the Americans in Feldafing, near Munich. She married in the DP camp in 1946, and eventually immigrated to the United States.
