The creators of The Treatment took darkness to a special level. If someone claims that Nordic noir is grim, I recommend watching this film. The antagonist’s ritual (+ the scene in his apartment) is one of the most disgusting things I have ever seen in horror/thriller movies.

The actors play their roles very realistic and with a lot of emotions. The atmosphere of the movie is dark and grimy with controversial subjects and although the content is never too explicit, it don't takes long to arose a sense of horror. Horror is also to be found in the appearance of the villain.
