- With good performances and a solid point of view, Money Monster is an exceptionally enjoyable thriller. It does suffer from multiple ending syndrome and loses its way occasionally, particularly in the third act, but there is so much good that happens before it gets that far to more than make up for those issues.

Money Monster - the name of Gates' TV show - is a simple, straightforward thriller. The linear story has no great plot twists, there are no huge surprises other than a general uncertainty as to exactly how it will end and, in many ways, this is a completely routine example of this type of movie.
