Nov 2, 2001 · ”Monsters, Inc.” follows the two ”Toy Story” movies and ”A Bug’s Life” from Pixar, and once again shows off the studio’s remarkable computer-aided animation, which creates an uncanny sense of dimension and movement.
In short, the movie is about monsters that work in a power plant that go through magical doors into the bedrooms of little children and scare them. The energy of the scream then charges up a battery. So far, so good.

Directed by Pete Docter (writer of Toy Story, Wall-E, Up), Monsters Inc. is a delightfully colourful, CG animated tale which tells us, plain & simple, that laughter is, indeed, 10x more powerful than a scream. 2 thumbs-up to Pixar Studios for delivering this good-natured, little gem that's sure to entertain audiences of all ages.
