Ray is fantastic. Jamie Foxx spent a lot of time with Ray, and with prosthetics to actually leave Foxx sightless for many of the scenes. His commitment to the role is extensive and it shows. It came out around the same time the Johnny Cash movie came out.

Mostly accurate and brutal--but also a bit of a white-wash. "Ray" is an excellent movie. Jamie Foxx did a great job in the film and earned the Oscar for Best Actor--and he was excellent in the title role. The film also showed many of the warts in Ray Charles' life--such as affairs and drug abuse.
