The shift from Tokyo to a desolate Pacific North West, then to a zombie filled Los Angeles, provides a good balance and shift in tone. The prison is a perfect setting for a zombie apocalypse scenario.

Dec 19, 2010 · Combined, a very good movie likely could have been pulled from the mess. That film is Resident Evil: Afterlife, the best Resident Evil movie so far. It’s still not a great film or any piece of great art, but it isn’t missing something huge like the previous films.
