The other thing with Legacies, is that it seems like the show does a really good job trying to make its monsters meaningful and contribute to the story, but they often do this by sacrificing what makes the main cast great.

The Vampire Diaries and The Originals had problems but Legacies is TRASH. This show is an abomination. This entire story is a treason to the universe. I felt bad for the characters in the previous shows. Now I feel bad for the vampire universe itself. Whoever approved this garbage messed up insanely. "Legacies" ruined the legacy of this brand.
Personally, I feel like redditors are wayyyy too harsh on this show, expecting too much from it. Yes, it's an offshoot of TVD/TO but expecting it to have the same general tone and types of characters is an unfair expectation imo.
