Seneca Falls is the Birthplace of the women’s rights movement and often referred to as the historic gateway to the Finger Lakes, nestled between Cayuga Lake and Seneca Lake and the inviting New York State wine country.
The Birthplace of Women’s Rights, the Town Seneca Falls, comprises 25.3 square miles and is nestled in the Finger Lakes region located at the northern tip of Cayuga Lake to its east, Seneca Lake to its west, and is home to approximately 8,650 residents.
The “lower falls” were located east of the present double locks of the Cayuga-Seneca Canal. The map shows the location of all three waterfalls, as well as the portions of the Flats (shaded in blue green) that were flooded when the canal on the Seneca River was redone in 1915.
May 31, 2023 · The Town of Seneca Falls water system serves approximately 9,000 people and contains over 70 miles of pipeline. The system is maintained daily by trained staff that are on call 24/7 for water or sewer related emergencies.

The adopted budget for the Town of Seneca Falls is then submitted to Seneca County. The 2024 Budget workshops will be held in person. The public may attend in person or participate in the process by registering to speak at an upcoming Budget Public Hearing.
