  5. To be fair, I think that Townsend probably played a part in getting dropped as opposed to it happening out of nowhere. Most sources/interviews make it pretty clear that Jackson did want an older actor for Aragorn, but it's also pretty obvious that Townsend didn't mesh well with the crew.
