Xavier Athletics emphasizes skill development, participation, versatility, teamwork, physical fitness, and above all, sportsmanship. Athletics are an integral part of our curriculum and play a significant role in shaping the character of our students.
Xavier plays in three highly competitive leagues—the Catholic High School Athletic Association, the Catholic High School Football League (CHSFL), and the Catholic High School Hockey League. Athletic participation requires a tremendous commitment from players, coaches, and parents; most teams practice six days a week.

In what leagues do Xavier athletics teams participate? We are part of the Catholic High School Athletic Association (CHSAA). Our football and hockey programs compete in subsidiaries of the CHSAA, the Catholic High School Football League (CHSFL) and the Catholic High School Hockey League (CHSHL).
St Francis Xavier Catholic High School offers a variety of activities, sports and clubs for students. All students are encouraged to participate in at least one club or activity per semester. Participation results in new skills, new friends, and leadership opportunities.
