Armando Trovajoli (also Trovaioli, 2 September 1917 – 28 February 2013) [1] was an Italian film composer and pianist with over 300 credits as composer and/or conductor, many of them jazz scores for exploitation films of the Commedia all'italiana genre. [2]
Mar 1, 2013 · Biography. Rome, September 2, 1917 - Rome, March 1, 2013. An Italian pianist, composer and conductor, he was initiated into music at an early age by his violinist father. At the age of six, he begins to study music and piano. Very young, he begins his activity in dance clubs.
In a garlanded career Trovajoli, who was working on a satirical version of Puccini's Tosca when he died, won four David Awards, Italy's principal film honours, among many other prizes.
