Sep 2, 2024 · Here are the steps to sharpen an Exacto knife with a diamond sharpening stone. Identify the cutting edge of the Exacto knife. Then, put the knife next to the sharpening stone and start dragging the blade across the knife. Do that for 5-6 times, that should be enough to make the knife sharp again.
Also to puncture air bubbles in the glue. Maybe to cut the edges off. I have an exacto knife, it has never been near my diamond paintings. (I press too hard and would slice through it.) I use release paper and not the plastic film, so no cutting anything. If you feel you need one get one but I don't think it's necessary.
