Alyth (/ ˈ eɪ l ɪ θ /) (Scottish Gaelic: Ailt) is a town in Perth and Kinross, Scotland, five miles (eight kilometres) northeast of Blairgowrie and about 17 miles (27 kilometres) northwest of Dundee. In 2016 the town had an estimated population of 2,400.

Alyth lies just off the main road from Blairgowrie to Kirriemuir on the southern slopes of the hills that form the Forest of Alyth. It is a town with an ancient history, evidence of which can be seen particularly where the village starts to climb the Hill of Alyth to the north.
Within walking distance of the town centre is the Den of Alyth, a delightful spot that is a site of special scientific interest thanks to a varied habitat sheltered by beech woods. If you are lucky, you might even spot a red squirrel or two. Alyth is also popular with golfers.
