It can be during the song, or just one part. You hear a TON of people have a little rap section in the song, so that's why you see a lot of "feat. T-Pain" and "feat. Jay Z".

For what it's worth, though: 'Feat' implies a short cameo, like a guest solo or a rapped bridge. '&' implies more of a 50/50 collaboration, or at least a joint effort. I've never seen 'X', but 'Vs.' is (to my knowledge) used to imply a contest.

  4. All of the instruments can define the beat, but in order the most important (in a typical 4 piece) are - drums, bass, rhythm guitar, lead guitar. You can define a laid back beat just with the drums - if everyone else plays as normal, but you swing your beats, you will get a much more fluid feel to a piece.

  11. Aug 2, 2022 · @Dubl - I've had another look at this, and I've noticed something odd. The code above is actually applying the markup to the wrong note; it should be applying the half bracket to the E (not the B-flat).
