It can be during the song, or just one part. You hear a TON of people have a little rap section in the song, so that's why you see a lot of "feat. T-Pain" and "feat. Jay Z".
Dec 6, 2014 · Not sure if there's really a convention. I feel most of these are used interchangeably. For what it's worth, though: 'Feat' implies a short cameo, like a guest solo or a rapped bridge. '&' implies more of a 50/50 collaboration, or at least a joint effort. I've never seen 'X', but 'Vs.' is (to my knowledge) used to imply a contest.
All of the instruments can define the beat, but in order the most important (in a typical 4 piece) are - drums, bass, rhythm guitar, lead guitar. You can define a laid back beat just with the drums - if everyone else plays as normal, but you swing your beats, you will get a much more fluid feel to a piece.

May 21, 2020 · First off let me say that a music pattern can be any number of things when applied generally to music, but since you stated " as it relates to style", I will point out something such as a rhythm which is commonly used in a particular genre of music such as Reggae, or maybe a common number of bars that may be used such as the twelve bar Blues.
Apr 21, 2016 · The flat or sharp symbols (not yet considering double-sharps and double-flats, we'll get to that) are used for two purposes: to indicate how the diatonic notes of a key different from the notes in the key of C. to indicate how chromatic notes differ from the diatonic notes. It's in the latter case you encounter double-sharps and double-flats.

Aug 2, 2022 · @Dubl - I've had another look at this, and I've noticed something odd. The code above is actually applying the markup to the wrong note; it should be applying the half bracket to the E (not the B-flat).
