Jan 15, 2024 · My son was admitted to Cox and also the University Honors Program. I’m curious for any feedback on those familiar with the UHP program, and whether it is seen as a distinguished program. SMU indicates it is for the top 10% of admitted students but my son hasn’t been able to find anything published regarding improvements on graduation outcomes, if any.
Jul 17, 2014 · Maggpie August 19, 2014, 5:28am 6. <p>SMU is not a huge party school. It is a very SOCIAL school, but the fraternities’ houses are owned by the school, so they are supposed to be “dry”. The drinking happens off campus, in clubs or restaurants or upper classmen’s apartments.

Nov 9, 2019 · Have heard mid December for EA. Perhaps a week earlier for those that applied ED. Applications expected to be up a healthy amount vs last year. DD applied ED. Plans to walk on for a sport but that’s not accounted for in the application except maybe in the Why SMU essay and success in that area. Pre-health major.
Dec 23, 2017 · According to Google: “Harvard University’s endowment (valued at $37.6 billion as of 2015) is the largest academic endowment in the world”. Given what the stock market has done over the past two years, we can guess that Harvard’s endowment has probably gone up since 2015.
Oct 27, 2022 · SMU is a private U that has a high sticker price that about 25% of students pay. A friend of mine in New Jersey sent her son to SMU and he’s thriving. Comm and intl relations double major. When I attend Cox receptions on the Boulevard before football games, the students hanging out there appear to be a broad mix.
