The Pennsylvania Violent Death Reporting System (PAVDRS) collected death certificate data for 1,711 suicide deaths (1,378 males and 333 females) from all 67 counties in 2020. PAVDRS staff reviewed over 2,800 violent death cases in 2020 and 61% were suicides.
