Paddington is an area in the City of Westminster, in central London, England. A medieval parish then a metropolitan borough, it was integrated with Westminster and Greater London in 1965. Paddington station, designed by the engineer Isambard Kingdom Brunel opened in 1847.

Paddington is located in the county of Greater London, London, two miles north-west of the city of City of Westminster, 14 miles south-east of the major town of Watford, and two miles west of London. Paddington lies three miles west of the City and County of the City of London border, and was historically in the county of Middlesex.
