    Prince Philip was the youngest of his siblings, and the only boy. Philip had four older sisters, Princess Margarita, Princess Theodora, Princess Cecilie, and Princess Sophie. Philip was the last surviving of his siblings, with Princess Sophie being the last to pass away back in 2001.

    Philip’s eldest sister was Princess Margarita, who was born on April 18, 1905. 16 years Philip’s senior, Margarita married Prince of Hohenlohe-Langenburg of Germany and they had six children, the first of which was sadly stillborn. Margarita passed away on April 24, 1981, at the age of 76.

    The second daughter was Theodora, born May 30, 1906. Theodora married Berthold, Margrave of Baden, her paternal second cousin, in 1931 and they shared three children. Theodora died just five weeks before her mother, Princess Alice, on October 16, 1969, aged 63 years old.
