After losing a finger in a work accident, an Italian worker becomes increasingly involved in political and revolutionary groups.
Elio Petri's The Working Class Goes to Heaven tells its story through the eyes of factory worker Lulu, who begins the film obsessed wjth his own productivity before losing a finger leads to him joining in with student activists advocating for worker's rights.
