Alan doesn't wear gloves when touching Mark's phone. He's a felon, what if the phone didn't burn all the way? They'd know he did it.
Alan wasn't wearing gloves when he planted the camera either. What if Laurie called the police, and they fingerprinted the book camera?
The "suicide note" sent by Alan from Mark, says 12:47 PM on the text, but Laurie says it was sent after midnight.
Detective Valdez says to Laurie, "Mark drove his car off an embankment, right after he sent you that email last night". This is a flub, because it wasn't an email, it was a text.
After Janice hits Kurt in the head, and he drops the gun, she just runs over to Rikki, even as Laurie struggles with Kurt, a large, muscular man. Why didn't all three of them hit him again, and again, and again, and again, until he stops moving?! I don't even have to look, I already know this was written by a man, and written badly. You know why women always have so many defense wounds (the number of defense wounds=amount of resistance)? Because for one, we value our lives as much as the next guy, and for two, women are NEVER as weak as men imagine us to be. This is why one of my favorite made-for-tv movies is Fatal Flip (also starring Dominique Swain). The main character in that movie doesn't require a man to save her, she saves her man, and takes care of the psycho herself.
Alan pushes Mark's car off a cliff, with him in it, and it promptly explodes. Cars don't explode so easily, it would have been better if they'd CGI'd Alan putting a rag in the gas tank, and lighting it.
