There are complaints out there of delivery issues where often orders weren’t received. However, AbeBooks responded to the Better Business Bureau complaints to the satisfaction of their customers, leading me to think that this brand is indeed legit.
So, to the crux of the matter – is AbeBooks worth your money? Yes, absolutely, but I do suggest doing your due diligence as to the seller ratings. As an online mall with vendors from all over the globe, AbeBooks is the best place to find any books – new, used, rare, and text. They are also a great place to find art and collectibles.

A book rated as being in "Good" condition in the used book industry means something which is fairly beat up or has some internal marking. "Very good" would be a nice reading copy.

AbeBooks offers a wide range of books from independent sellers all over the world, making it a great place to find unique and hard-to-find titles.
Fair condition is ALWAYS books that book collectors shun away; these are only good for reading with their visible defects (tears, library stample, stickers, smudges, underlined/highlighted, missing dustjackets, etc. etc.). The price accordingly. I've had dealers on Abebooks "accidentally" list paperbacks as hardcovers.

Book was described with having no writing but there was child's marker scribbling all over book. Abe offered a refund on the book through the seller IF I paid return shipping. The book cost $4 with $6 shipping to recieve. So basically I could pay ANOTHER $6 in shipping to return the book and receive a $4 refund.
