Jul 11, 2024 · The American Hockey League today released the complete schedule of games for the 2024-25 regular season, the league’s 89th year of operation. The season, with 32 teams playing 72 games apiece – a total of 1,152 games – begins on Friday, October 11 and concludes on Sunday, April 20.
Oct 11, 2024 · All 32 clubs will play 72 games during a 2024-25 regular season that will run through April 20. From there, 23 teams will qualify for postseason play, with five rounds of playoffs leading to the crowning of the 2025 Calder Cup champion.

All but the bottom two teams in each of the AHL’s four divisions will qualify for the 2022 Calder Cup Playoffs. Home-ice advantage in all series will be granted to the team with the higher points percentage. The first round will be best-of-three series.
