I play Java Minecraft 1.17.10 and I have built the Blaze farm (of Shulkercraft) but it's xp and blaze rod production is very low (I use looting 3 sword). I AFK'd for 30min and I got only 23 xp and some 2 and half stacks of blaze rods.

Blazes are better protected with fire protection, and ghasts and the wither need blast protection. So that just leaves skeletons. And skeletons on their own are not very dangerous assuming you have a shield and good armor.

As everyone knows, you can use lichen in the 1.17 snapshot to get water in the nether. I designed a blaze farm using this, then smacked myself when I realized blazes needed to be player killed to drop a rod.

Oct 19, 2021 · Blazes cannot be harmed by lava, but will be moved by flowing lava, making them ripe to be farmed! The first step, and perhaps the most dangerous, is to find a Nether Fortress and a blaze spawner within it. You’ll need to kill any surrounding blazes, wither skeletons, and other hostile mobs nearby.
