Dec 31, 2006 · In mixed substitution errors the intrusion is both semantically and phonologically related to the target (e.g. 13 and 14). W e find mixed errors far more often
Aug 1, 2024 · Results: Children who produce more atypical and omission errors are more likely to present with PA deficits. However, some children who produce mostly substitution errors nonetheless present with weaknesses in PA, as do many children with resolved speech production difficulties.
In large collections of speech errors, phonological patterns emerge. Speech errors are shaped by phonotactic constraints, markedness, frequency, and phonological representations of prosodic and segmental structure.
Aug 4, 2014 · Children with specific language impairment (SLI) and/or dyslexia are reported to have marked weaknesses in phonological awareness tasks (Catts et al., 2005). Subsequently, these children often experience significant difficulties with reading.

Apr 2, 2021 · We quantified lexical and non-lexical errors, repeated attempts, phonetic errors, and syllabifications. We assessed effects of word frequency, word length, phoneme position, and syllabic and phonological complexity. Results: CS made similar errors across tasks, consistent with a post-lexical impairment.
