  1. Sometimes you want some bite on the pitch but with proper ag short conical loaded plates you won't get the bite and from normal less aggressive ag studs you run the same risk of getting a knock. Safest and most successful ag boots I would say would be the Nike ag pro plates on both the phantom elites and tiempo elites.

  2. Sep 7, 2024 · In our Nike Mercurial Superfly 10 review, we take a look at the latest generation of the swoosh’s halo speed boot silo.

  3. I’ve been a lot of browsing about what boot look good and reviews etc… and I came across the Nike Air Zoom Mercurial Vapor. The all black with green highlights look 10/10 and ive heard they’re decent.

  4. Mercs are the very boot meant for people who do NOT have wide feet. I find that Adidas is more comfortable for those of us with wide feet. Nike always ends up too thin for the foot and when you get one that fits you have space left at the end of the boot. Personal preference though👍🏾.

For the untrained eye, the shape and form of this boot does look similar, if not almost identical to the last 2 generations of the Mercurial – the Nike Mercurial Vapor 12/Superfly 6 and the Nike Mercurial Vapor 13. It also comes as no surprise that those last two boots were launched just over a year apart, much shorter than the usual 20-24 month li...

For the first time since Nike had two top-tier Mercurial boots side by side (the mid-cut Superfly and low-cut Vapors), they have given both the boots of this generation a collective name – the Nike Mercurial Dragonfly. Both boots are almost exactly alike save for the mid-cut sock and are priced quite closely too. Personally, I prefer the more sleek...

Despite my gripes about the lack of concept, the Nike Mercurial Vapor 14 still looks amazing. The bright launch colourway is one of the best I’ve seen in years and looks even more stunning in person. What’s a Mercurial without its bells whistles? I loved that Nike added a bit of flair to the boot in the form of the heel tab and the “speed wings”. I...

Straight into my warm ups, I felt a slightly unfamiliar sensation. The ground-breaking anatomical soleplate that has given the Mercurial its X-Factor felt vastly different. For those who have never worn the Mercurial, the inner sole is curved upwards around the mid-foot to rest against your arch to remove any excess space and lock you into the boot...

I like the matte webbed finish because it makes me feel like it’s provides some grip when in contact with the ball. While I don’t think it does give you that much more grip, I felt confident in keeping in control as I dribbled. As you can expect, the thin upper means you get a very close feel of the ball but it doesn’t feel raw. This is where the s...

I had worries about playing on artificial ground (AG) with a firm ground (FG) stud pattern. Nike’s FG studs are notoriously long and don’t fair well on AG which tend to be shallower and harder. The good news is that I hardly felt stud pressure or pain when wearing them. However, I have found them to be extremely clingy and aggressive when it comes ...

I thought its predecessor could have been the best Mercurial ever made if it solved issues with the stiff toebox and if it made the boot’s upper a little softer. With the Nike Mercurial Vapor 14, Nike has vastly improved its formula. It is more comfortable and is even easier to put on – all without compromising on its DNA of excellent lockdown, a c...

  5. The Nike Mercurial has genuinely blown our minds with its last two generations, introducing a 360 Flyknit upper which became an instant game-changer. This insane barefoot feel went down a treat with pros, amateurs, reviewers and presumably everyone else who laid eyes (or feet) on them.

  7. Aug 23, 2022 · It is intended to create optimal lockdown, but unlike other speed cages, it is pliable and has natural movement with your foot. It is thin but made of a strong material, securing your foot between the upper and outsole without adding additional weight. And the upper itself is called Vaporposite+, something we will talk more about below.
