I'm considering getting some new pens for everyday use (school and work), and I was wondering if Parker Jotter pens are really as good as the reviews say. They’re very decent. Great in the $7-11 range for the all-metal bodied ones. Very commonly available refills.

I was genuinely surprised by the price of these new editions, because they look and feel like a much more expensive pen.

I think Parker Jotters are well liked for their iconic and classic look. Functionally, yeah they work, but there are pen bodies that take Parker refills for cheaper that are more durable. I personally don't like how tapered they are.
The pen is known for it's durability, smooth writing for the majority, and aesthetic. I love the Parker Jotter, have had maybe 10 or more in my 31 years. I've typically lost them to other "budding pen enthusiasts" I have worked with.
