I think Parker Jotters are well liked for their iconic and classic look. Functionally, yeah they work, but there are pen bodies that take Parker refills for cheaper that are more durable. I personally don't like how tapered they are. Where I hold my pen, it's just too thin. I personally had one drop from waist height and break on me.
The pen is known for it's durability, smooth writing for the majority, and aesthetic. I love the Parker Jotter, have had maybe 10 or more in my 31 years. I've typically lost them to other "budding pen enthusiasts" I have worked with.
