I'm considering getting some new pens for everyday use (school and work), and I was wondering if Parker Jotter pens are really as good as the reviews say. They’re very decent. Great in the $7-11 range for the all-metal bodied ones. Very commonly available refills.
Jul 6, 2017 · The Parker Jotter is a tried and true classic that keeps upgrading, and this new two-tone, all-metal Victoria Violet body feels fresh while still nodding to vintage elegance. I was genuinely surprised by the price of these new editions, because they look and feel like a much more expensive pen.
It's the best I've tried. Parker refills are alright, but if they get hot the silicone grease in the top of them melts, leaving a fine coating of grease over the inside of the pen. The ones I had were old, though, so the issue may have been resolved. I have in the past also used a Schmidt megaline 9000.
The pen is known for it's durability, smooth writing for the majority, and aesthetic. I love the Parker Jotter, have had maybe 10 or more in my 31 years. I've typically lost them to other "budding pen enthusiasts" I have worked with.

Feb 24, 2020 · The Parker Jotter fountain pen has been available for at least a year. However, it has not gotten a lot of notice. In theory, Parker took the classic good looks of their iconic Jotter ballpoint pen and turned it in to a fountain pen. This is not unlike what Caran d’Ache did with the 849 as well.
