Its a comfort show. Tomasi and Gleeson's Superman is a great dad imo. It was them giving into star power and giving the Superman books to Bendis that fucked everything up. Season 1 absolutely, season 2 not so much but it's still decent (and better than the other seasons of CW DC shows from recent years imo).

It's been excellent. They do Superman right by focusing on his human struggles. The actual in cape fighting has been pretty minimal (but still very enjoyable). Much of the show is his struggle to balance being a father, husband, and the most important man on the planet. It is really very well done at all levels.
