Minecraft is a game that has been out for over 10 years, and has had survival as a core feature for most of that time. However, since updates don't come out that often (maybe once a year), the survival has gotten quite dull and repetitive over these past 10 years in my opinion. This caught my eye because, well, I actually totally agree with that article. The Survival is pretty boring to me, at least vanilla Survival is. Here is why. Regular Survival is just too easy to me, even Hardcore mode. The mobs are too slow and weak, and are too easy to avoid.
It does things vanilla minecraft can't do, like updating dungeons and monster spawns after certain parts of the game have been completed. This means you literally can't find end game materials on day one, which you can easily do in minecraft. It’s true if you only look at a surface level.
First and foremost, whenever I see someone say this, this is my go-to advice: Take a break. You can only play so much Minecraft. Eventually gathering coal and iron is going to get boring; you've done it a million times! The way I see it, Minecraft is a game. Games are for fun.
