Depends on what type of mods you're installing. Scripts can pretty much just be dragged and dropped into the root folder, as long as the supporting files to make it work are already there. Pretty much everything else needs to run through OpenIV, but even then it's just a matter of replacing files with the newer modded ones.
Oct 21, 2020 · The default directions for the GTA 5 directory is: This PC > Local Disk (Drive Steam is On) > Program Files (x64) > Steam > Steamapps > common > Grand Theft Auto V. You can confirm this is your directory because it will have GTAV.exe in it. Most modding applications will use this Executable File to locate the directory.
Download the archives or installers from the websites. Installation: Follow the READMEs! ScriptHookV: Open the archive, extract the files inside the bin folder to your GTA V root. ScriptHookVDotNet: Open the archive, extract ScriptHookVDotNet.asi and ScriptHookVDotNet2.dll to your GTA V root. OpenIV: Run the installer.
