Not a vet, but I’ve read that if you use things like a laser light (and I’m assuming the same concept applies for a video-stimuli they cannot tangibly hunt) that you should offer them something they can feel, touch and catch or “hunt” to satisfy their instinct so as to not leave them frustrated, which is what I think you’re alluding to with the whole cat video experience.
