His second chance to be a hero. Not showing the dragon ( because of budget reasons) will be a running gag. The writers confirmed on twitter that Season 3 would have been a Madalena arc/semi redemption (like how S1 was a Galavant arc, and S2 was a Richard arc). So I'm assuming Gareth would definitely go save her from herself.

The show hasn’t been close to a 1.0 rating in the 18-49 demographic since the premiere, and to some out there it was a surprise renewal last year with much better ratings on average. DVR ratings only help so much, since people gotta watch live so that advertisers can send over that money.

Slim to none. TV production costs balloon in the third season, 99% of shows don't make it to a third season. Galavant is a cool show, but it barely made it to Season 2. I'd bet $1,000 it doesn't get a season 3. d I just can't believe there's so few people really watching and enjoying it.
