In no particular order, I think some problems are: (1) the algorithm doesn't necessary give you what you want (and doesn't seem to penalize view drop-off rate hard enough), (2) real YouTubers with good content have began to make their videos clickbait (e.g. Tom Scott), (3) YouTube doesn't give you good filter tools.
