Ontario High School Requirements. You'll need: Ontario Secondary School Diploma. A minimum of six grade 12U/M level courses (excluding co-op), including: English (ENG4U) Proof of English Language Proficiency if English is not your first language. All your completed and in-progress grade 11U/M level courses. Requirements specific to your program.
Online learning graduation requirement. If you started Grade 9 in the 2020–2021 school year or later, you must earn at least 2 online learning credits to get your high school diploma. Adult learners: If you entered the secondary school system starting in the 2023–2024 school year or later, this requirement also applies to you.

Step 2: Apply. Apply using the Ontario Universities' Application Centre (OUAC) application. Applicants who rank U of T Engineering below 3 rd choice on their OUAC application may be disadvantaged in the admissions process. We recommend that you submit your OUAC application by November 7. If you are a current Ontario high school student, your high school will automatically send us your grades for your current Ontario high school courses. If you completed or are completing studies outside of Ontario, review the documents required for your education system and submit your required documents using the Document Upload feature in the Engineering Applicant Portal .
