Martin is an American television sitcom that aired for five seasons on Fox from August 27, 1992, to May 1, 1997. The show stars comedian Martin Lawrence as the titular character. Lawrence also played several other characters. Martin was one of Fox 's highest-rated shows during the sitcom's run.

Bennie Richburg (born May 17, 1966) is an American television producer, screenwriter and director who served as a co-executive producer for Martin and also as a story edtor for 13 episodes of the series and a writer of five; he also made cameo bit role acting appearnces in five episodes.
Bennie is a graduate of Tuskeegee Institute in Tuskeege, AL. In addition to his work on Martin, Bennie has written or produced episodes for NBC-TV's The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Saturday Night Live, FOX's The Jamie Foxx Show and Cuts; he has also served as a story consultant for The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and NBC-TV's In The House.
