Beverley Grammar School is an 11–16 boys’ comprehensive secondary academy school in Beverley, East Riding of Yorkshire, England.A school may have been established under the Beverley Grammar School name about 700 AD; [4] on that basis the school is claimed to be the country's oldest grammar school, [5] and the eighth oldest school overall, but the existence of a school here is not continuous.

Sep 20, 2018 · Beverley Grammar School was founded with the Collegiate Church in Beverley by St. John of Beverley c. 700 CE. Early records suggest that the medieval building, which existed in the southwest corner of the Minster grounds, was demolished in 1602 and replaced on the same site by a stone building in 1609.
