Oct 13, 2017 · Bla Bla Car is a ride-share platform meaning that the concept is somewhat similar to Uber or Lyft, only that it’s focused on longer city-to-city travel rather than short trips that you would otherwise take a taxi for.
A friend and I are thinking about trying to use Blablacar as a way to get from Sevilla to Tarifa, Tarifa to Gibraltar to Tarifa (for a day trip) and then to get from Tarifa to Granada. Is this a good idea?

On the road to Granada. And I traveled from Cádiz to Granada by Blablacar. The train going this route takes 5 hours and costs €33.50, while the car took just over 3 hours and cost €16.45. The drive goes through some beautiful countryside, passing adorable small towns with castles and churches.
I know people who've used BlaBlaCar to travel around Spain. It may not be reliable, but it seems to work ok. I did the train trip from Granada to Valencia and it's just under 6 hours with a transfer in Madrid.
