Right now, 7:00 pm PST on May 29, 2024 having same issue as you all. BMO online banking will not let me login, not on phone, not on laptop, customer service recording says it cannot transfer my call as call volume is high. Worried about my accounts.

Jan 19, 2024 · My senior mom uses my computer for her online banking. She is 90 so we only login every month or so. Today we noticed there was no second step verification, but there had been in the past. I checked my own account, and I had to use 2FA or app authentication. I can't seem to find anywhere on their site to enable or disable 2FA.
Jun 28, 2022 · Strangely, I managed to get the payment to work yesterday and even viewed all of my account information, but when I visited the website again about ten minutes later, I was unable to view my TFSA and RRSP information like last time. It's like the online banking website works on-and-off for me.
Nov 11, 2014 · Try calling 1-800-363-9992; input your Bank Card number and your password (same as for Online Banking); press 1 for account inquiries and bill payments, then 1, then 2 for account history. See what the IVR tells you. The entries may be there but not showing up on the Online Banking application. *Worked for BMO. Reply.
BMO has yet to implement 2 Factor Authentication on their Online Banking portal; this would prompt either a phone call or SMS with a separate code that needed to be entered into the Online Banking session to complete: A new E-transfer recipient registration. A new Registered Biller addition.

Setting aside the check holds issue, best to have multiple bank accounts for redundancy. Open another business account elsewhere. Also, while on that, if your personal account is also with BMO, open a second personal account elsewhere too. 7.
