For me, I'd say no. Potential for confusion lies ahead. I love the name Jack, but, unfortunately, I do think if you have a dog named Jack, it's definitely a chance to use a different name. Or, like someone else suggested, change the dogs name to 'Mack' or 'Pack', then there is no problemo.
