Mar 18, 2017 · 173. Purraise. 67. UPDATE I can now answer my own question, unfortunately. My concern for a potential problem came from the fact that while my cell phone screen is glass, my TV screen is a flexible membrane. Sure enough, today, when I cast a cat video from my phone to my TV Maxine charged it so hard that it knocked out some pixels where she hit.
Cats can easily puncture the mesh with their claws and tear through the screen with just a few swipes. In conclusion, cats can absolutely scratch TV screens, and as a responsible pet owner, it’s important to take steps to protect your TV from your pet’s playful nature. Understanding your cat’s behavior, providing alternative scratching areas, and training your cat to avoid scratching the TV are all effective preventative measures.
