They'd have to go school - or test or whatever - every year to stay up to date on the bikes. Your bike and your job is a good example.

Harley only certifies techs at their dealerships. Most shops that advertise certified techs are hiring trade/vocational school graduates who earned a certificate of graduation in motorcycle repair. Taking a bike to a shop that has certified technicians is no guarantee that any of them ever even stood next to a harley, let alone worked on them.
