My number one priority right now is medical school (which I will apply in the summer of 2022), but if that fails I would like to apply to graduate schools for chemistry by fall of 2022. My current overall GPA is 3.473 with a Chemistry major GPA of 3.342.
Sep 5, 2018 · If you are aiming to start graduate school in the fall, it is ideal to take your GREs no later than September or October of the year before. Taking them even earlier is better, so that you have the option of retaking them if you don’t like your scores.

Chemistry is recognised as a 'hard degree' with a lot of skills developed if you didn't want to work in the profession. I'd say at least 50% of chemistry undergrads go for generic grad schemes and end up doing anything from marketing to finance or law.
Often the application deadlines for these awards are early in the fall, even before the deadline for applying to graduate studies. The School of Graduate Studies and Postdoctoral Affairs also has scholarships available.
