  2. Having 4GB or RAM dedicated to FTB helps, a processor with fast single core speeds helps, but the greatest help will be having FTB on a SSD. There's a nifty little utility mod that shows you what mods load for how long. Put it in the mods folder, start Minecraft and then read the loading-log.log with a text editor.

However, it takes 5-10 minutes to "initialize" mods every time I load up Terraria or reload my mods. It takes even longer if I add more content mods, so I have had to limit my choice in mods and that, combined with the waiting time, is very annoying.

  4. Nov 10, 2021 · The mods load pretty much instantly. The "load time" is while the mods are compiled into the game code, which is CPU intensive. Running a 4GHz 8-core AMD CPU and it still takes 10 minutes or so to load with mods. This is probably because Rimworld uses one core and I'm not using any mods that force the use multiple cores.
