  4. Mar 1, 2024 · Pause at the Peak: Briefly pause the flag at the peak to honor the resilience of the American spirit. Lower to Half-Staff: Solemnly lower the flag to the half-staff position, about midway between the top and bottom of the staff, as a sign of mourning or remembrance.
