If there is an option to play a game in French/Japanese/Chinese/Korean. I usually set it one of those options. I see it as a way to exposing yourself to the language and perhaps picking a few more vocab.

I'd say it's a valuable learning experience if you submerge yourself in it. I have been watching the Pokemon anime in French for some time now and I have to say it's been really fun so far. :) If you combine games with the anime and some extra reading, then you could get some nice B1+ vocabulary out of it. 4.
